Freddie started her art career at 31 yrs old, when she applied for her Foundation course at University of the Arts London-Who started the first part-time foundation course in London, which enabled people to work and fund studying. Over 400 people applied for the course of 20 places, and she was lucky enough to gain access. The course was very diverse and highly experimental. She worked 4 days a week as a PE teacher and one day studying and realised she had finally found her true passion. The rest is history and since beginning she has exhibited Nationally and Internationally. Exhibiting in places like Dhoby Underground MRT station in Singapore, to hotel rooms in Seoul, to Royal Scottish Academy. Her art is unflinching, bold and LOUD. And very much a social commentary about the world we live in. The everyday is her fascination and believes the voice of the working class in fundamentally under-respresented in higher education and the contemporary art world.
